A Breath of Fresh Perspective

Deep breathing sounds like something so simple that you may think, "how can that possibly help me?". Studies show that just by slowing down your breath, great benefits occur. As you take a deep breath in, you use the full capacity of your lungs, bringing in fresh revitalizing oxygen. As you breath out, you release all the built up toxins. This in itself cleanses the blood and regulates its pH, releases negative emotions, and increases energy and alertness. Furthermore, you stimulate the calming part of your nervous system (parasympathetic) when you breathe, which calms you down, clears the mind, and gives you clarity and patience. Deep breathing pumps spinal fluid to the brain which stimulates the pituitary gland, which enhances intuition. There are more benefits, but I think you get the point, deep breathing is good for you. So let's practice it!
